Reaper Whiskey Black Label Vintage T-Shirt

The Reaper Whiskey Black Label t-shirt is rather clever, with a double entendre meaning. A joy to wear because of it.

We'll start with the culture reference; a cloaked skeleton wielding a large scythe, arriving to take your mortality, aka the Grim Reaper. The Blue Oyster Cult and "Don't Feel the Reaper," films like Death Takes a Holiday, Joe Black, The Seventh Seal. Robert Redford's  handsome personification of death in a Twilight Zone episode.

This reminds us of the song, "Riders in the Sky, a Cowboy Legend" which sometimes has "Ghost" at the beginning of the title. A 1948 country/western song written by Stan Jones.

Jones said an old Native American in an Arizona border town told him the story when he was 12 years old.

We're getting thirsty  just thinking about, which brings us to the other meaning of the Reaper:

One who harvests a crop, which is apropos because whiskey is made from grains. Rum is made from molasses,  Vodka is potatoes, tequila blue agave, wine grapes or other fruit, and whiskey from grains such as barley, corn, rye, and wheat.

Bourbon, the favorite juice here at the Colonel's, must be at least 51% corn.

So now it can be said you are versed in the double entendre of this tee. It can be a t-shirt for the daytime or one for the night, and you don't even need to turn it inside out.
